Asutuare Poultry Farm Limited- APFL, was registered as a Ghanaian limited liability company on the 24th of August 2004 and it is owned by Mr Ibrahim Mahama. At inception, it was poised to produce high quality organic eggs and broilers for the Ghanaian market. It also has a commitment to embark on good social responsibility to heighten the skill sets of youth in its operational environment as well as Ghanaian youth in general by offering internship to qualified and deserving youth. The able leadership of the management team have ensured good growth due to efficient leadership, direction and regular performance improvement processes in the management of the farm. Currently the farm is going through a restricting under a management team following a five (5) point development plan to make APFL the most responsive, efficient and modern poultry farm in Ghana. The improvement covers especially the following; • A Halal Registration of APFL which will be followed by a process to get a Halal Certification of slaughtering to be issued by the Halal committee for all of the batches. • Overall enhancement of the processing plant as well as air-conditioning of the processing plant. • Employment of an in-house veterinarian. • Acquisition of Refrigerated Trucks for transportation of the processed products for onward distribution to all clients. • Continuous improvement processes to ensure that the farm becomes the leading poultry farm in Ghana. • The company’s vision is to produce the highest quality fresh, organic and tastiest chicken products in Ghana. • The company has modern equipment and machinery that benchmarks the best in the industry worldwide. • Buildings are manufactured in Italy by Tecno Poultry. • Feeding equipment is manufactured by world famous Chore-Time®️ Feeding system.

The company is well resourced and structured to meet the demands of the market. Management has embarked on a 4 point restructuring process to meet the demands of Very Large Customers (VLC) as well as propelling the company from a base p.a. Total Live Weight (TLW) production of 285,000KG in 2018 to 1,001,954 KG in 2022, giving a CAGR of 28.5%.
APFL buys hatching eggs and/or day-old chicks from Plumex Holland. This is a highly reliable and reputable supplier with worldwide recognition. The company is gradually shifting to own production of feed and has refitted existing feed mills to this end. Targeted feed conversion is 3.0kg in order to achieve an Average Live Weight (ALW) of 1.9kg. Management, has ensured that ingredients procured for compound feed production are of the highest quality that gives the chicken it’s unique APFL taste. a major impact on farm, technical and economic performance for the company.
